Editor’s Note

Often young filmmakers, the festival goers and in general film lovers ask themselves who is behind a film festival and how they make decision in putting together their program consisting from one to eleven days of showing films day after day. Why so many film festivals, when and where they are happening and what is their history. This site is built to answer these very important  and basic questions. The director(s) are interviewed and these questions are asked to make these very important points clear.

The idea of this site started during the 6th Edition of the  Zürich Film Festival in 2010 by interviewing Nadia Schildknecht and Karl Spörri the co-directors of the ZFF for the movie Turicum: Das ist Zürich.

This idea was expanded by interviewing other festival directors.  In time with high hope all Switzerland film festivals will be integrated into the site and will be up-dated.
